sixth shift: the rose
Finally I am caught up with my shifts! The Sixth Shift is for June’s moon, referred to as strawberry moon or rose moon (in Europe). Strawberries have a very short season and are harvested in June. Although, where I live that seems to not be the case. Our season is from February to November. Regardless, the sweetness of strawberries are always savored. They are a staple of summer. Likewise the rose blooming season has begun and gardeners boast their award winners.
This month we seek out life’s greatest pleasures. Just as the lush and fragrant honey suckle begins to take over crowding us in, something red and rosy emerges for us to discover. Or perhaps rediscover. k
